Hi classmates, here we are again for the next blog.
This time there is something differently. We don't have a specific assignment
but we have a free choice. Today I'm going to talk for the project that I had
with my colleague Elida. Teaching is a noble profession which comes with so
much responsibility and duty towards students. Teachers do not only teach, but
they inspire and motivate students for life and take important steps in life.
Also, there are cases when me and Elida are inspired by the same teachers of
university.
Firstly, I want to
describe how we start thinking for the project. We met one beautiful day and we
saw some flowers with different colours, while we were speaking about the
Tittle of the project. Our focus was to create different games and activities
through drilling and warming up exercises relating to vocabulary part. When I
saw the colours of flowers, I suggested to my colleague that we should take
the colour idioms. After we agreed with each other, we made a Lesson
plan.
1st step was more about the theory of what are idioms and their
importance. Then my colleague helped me two create exercises for students.
Secondly, I will post the
links from some exercises of our project. We included different activities such
as; what do you understand by X colour, idioms related to this colour,
etc. Furthermore, we practiced speaking part, and then we moved on with
the slide with reading exercises. We wanted that all students should
participate and understand the lesson. At the listening part we created a
video by ourselves. here is a link of the video file: ///C:/Users/User/Documents/Camtasia/Untitled%20Project/Untitled%20Project.html.
Another part that I want to mention is that of making the crossword.
This exercise attracted the attention of the students. Is very important to
mentions that we created it through the knowledge we got on this
subject, the use of book widget. Here is a link of the
crossword; https://www.bookwidgets.com/play/VZ1XamVU-iQAE7FkvvAAAA/7CG2E7B/idioms-of-color?teacher_id=5097345787101184.
At the end of the lesson, I thought about an activity.
I required to students to open their cameras and to look at their T-shirt and
create a sentence with colour idioms related to the colour of their T-shirt. It
was very glad that they all wanted to participate.
Now I want to describe the ideal classroom where I want to work. Each
teacher will have a slightly different version of the ideal class, but common
elements exist. It is in these commonalities that you often find a true
representation of the characteristics found in the ideal class. The ideal class
should have those characteristics;
The teacher rarely lectures or uses worksheets, but instead offers
students attractive and authentic learning opportunities.
· is a display centre for posters,
artwork and other exemplary works to learn from students.
· It is well organized so that teachers and
students can utilize the resources in the room quickly and efficiently.
· Provides students with a safe area where they feel
comfortable and can temporarily escape any problems they face at home.
·
Class ideals. It is where respect is an essential
value
I think that if we can motivate our students, they will feel calm and
self-confident. I will try to be so close and authoritative in every approach
to the learning process.
To sum up this blog, I want to share some of my previous project with
PREZI PRESANTATION; https://prezi.com/p/0xan7rsaumok/?present=1

Etc.
Now I want to close the blog wishing you good day and have a good time
everyone.
BYE...

Hello Greisa! I want to to congratulate you and Elida on your presentation. It was captivating and interesting. Furthermore the idioms you chose to teach to the class were of a great use in the everyday life and the way you organized the lesson made them hard to forget . I liked the way you included the repetitions and exercises so that it wouldn't get boring. The technology tools were all covered, the exercises were fun , the lesson structure was perfect and games were included as well as a lot of student-teacher interaction. What i enjoyed the most was the game in which we had to create a sentence with an idiom based on the color of our shirt.
ReplyDeleteLast but not least I love this smooth jump from one topic to the other and before we know we see that the things have gotten more interesting. I enjoyed the video, the book widget crossword and it was such a good work in the Prezi presentations. Bravo!
